Next week’s “After Hours” episode is actually a trio of stories involving Chase, 13, Taub, Foreman, House and Cuddy during one night of their lives between the hours of 11PM and 8AM. Be prepared because it’s not a typical evening for any of them.
13’s friend from prison comes a-callin’ with a fresh stab wound in her side. She is running from the law and wants no part of going to the hospital. 13 feels obligated to abide by her wishes but can’t handle caring for her on her own. Enter Chase (Jesse Spencer), who really gets to shine in this episode. In fact, his performance is rivaled only by Hugh Laurie’s, who may just want to submit this as his Emmy “for your consideration” episode.
Taub and Foreman visit a strip club but Taub’s mind is not on the dancers. He’s got another issue to deal with and attempts to run his problems by a lap dancer with unexpected results.
What about House? After getting some devastating news, he takes matters in hand and attempts to solve his problem on his own. Bad move. His actions put his life in jeopardy. And one scene in particular scene is bound to leave you shaken. I can’t recall another time House’s pain has been this devastating. But to reveal more would be giving away something you need to see for yourself. In the end, Cuddy is involved and, yes, so is Wilson. Rachel Cuddy makes an appearance too.
“After Hours” is one of the standout offerings of the season. It pushes the envelope, will keep you guessing, and force you to see each of these characters in a new light.

House Shocker: Lisa Edelstein Calls It Quits
House fandom, brace for impact: Dr. Cuddy is checking out.
Sources confirm to TVLine that Lisa Edelstein — whose long-term contract expires this month — has opted not to return for the show’s eighth and likely final season.
Fox and NBC Universal declined to comment and there’s no word from Edelstein’s camp.
Back in March — when the fate of House itself was up in the air — Edelstein told TVLine, “Nobody at work seems to think it won’t [return]. Everybody wants to come to a deal, and I certainly am looking forward to a Season 8.”
Earlier this month, Edelstein’s costars Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps inked new deals to return to the show. Hugh Laurie, Olivia Wilde and Peter Jacobson were already contracted for Season 8, leaving Jesse Spencer as the only remaining question mark.
The news comes a week before the show’s current season — arguably Edelstein’s meatiest yet — comes to a close. It’s unclear if the finale sets the stage for a possible Cuddy departure, but that seems highly unlikely.
[…] she ultimately decided not to return to the series for the next eighth (and likely final) season, putting an abrupt end to the on-again-off-again romance between her character Dr. Cuddy and Hugh Laurie’s Dr. House — aka Huddy. Along with Epps, Edelstein had been asked to take a cut from her most recent salary of $175,000 an episode, but the offer was still pretty good, so she is walking away from more than $2 million. Her departure will leave Olivia Wilde as the only regular female cast member, but with Wilde’s hot movie career, she is rarely on full-time.
Statement von Lisa Edelstein:
In a statement, the actress says, “After much consideration, I am moving onward with a combination of disappointment at leaving behind a character I have loved playing for seven years and excitement of the new opportunities in acting and producing that lie ahead.”

Mai 2011 um 19:18 Uhr #249070ViolettTeilnehmer* „House“ (Monday, 8 p.m., Fox) Let’s hope that Cuddy and House (Hugh Laurie) don’t make up in the season finale, as the show would have to explain their next breakup without her, now that Lisa Edelstein has announced that she’s leaving the show before its probable final season. The good news is that her departure clears a path for the romance we’ve all secretly been hoping for, when House discovers that the person he’s been in love with for seven years has been by his side all along, Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard).

Maybe this will help your devastation: Just two days before the fateful announcement, I chatted with executive producer Greg Yaitanes and asked him a quite similar question about the future of Huddy. “Yeah, they’re not getting back together. Anybody watching the finale to see if they get back together will be disappointed. Their relationship, though, will clearly be defined. Throughout the episode they will be achieving closure. How the closure manifests itself, I’m not gonna say, but that is definitely…the title of the episode is relevant to their relationship.” For the record, the title is “Moving On.” My remaining question? Does someone Cuddy have to die before House “moves on”? More on that before the finale.23. 24. Mai 2011 um 14:40 Uhr #249148AnonymGastabaker20: If next year is House’s last season, will Jennifer Morrison be back on the show? I think she can make House happy.
Purely for selfish reasons we’re going to hope Jennifer Morrison can’t come back to House, because in the fall she is starring in one of our favorite new ABC shows, Once Upon a Time. Seriously, we’ll sacrifice Dr. House’s (Hugh Laurie) last chance at happiness in favor of launching this awesome new drama.24.
