Hugh Laurie: „Ah, yes. Huddy. It’s not an attractive word, is it? For a moment, House will behave with a certain amount of… not exactly sobriety, but he won’t be yelling from the balcony that he slept with the hospital administrator. But he does still have that slightly childish, mischievous thing about him, and the fundamental affection House and Cuddy have for each other is not going away. They’re both in need of warmth and human touch, and as long as that’s there, they will either be mean to each other or try to sleep with each other. Ausiello: Yes, I’ve seen the premiere. And yes, there are some steamy goings-on between House and Franka Potente she-who-shall-not-be-named. As far as it being a slap in the face to Huddy fans, I would urge you to watch the (mostly excellent) episode before drawing any conclusions. I consider myself a Huddy fan and it didn’t really bother me — but that’s probably because I possess insider knowledge that Huddy is far from over. Plus, as exec producer Katie Jacobs points out, sex is so overrated. “The thing is this: real sparks and chemistry, which is what House and Cuddy have, are there,” she says. “That’s sort of hard to create. I don’t personally get hung up on whether they have sex, per se. I don’t mean any disrespect to the fans. Sex is great. But, whether they do it or not is sort of not the issue, exactly. They have an attraction. It’s an intense attraction. It’s intellectual. It’s physical. Where it will lead in the future, I really don’t know. As for episode 8, it feels kind of „shippy“ – for lack of a better word.
For those who are asking, it is pretty much a combination of at least 3 or 4 pairings combined, plus, there MIGHT be a new one.
By the way, bribe all you want, I am NOT saying a thing about the new pairing. I don’t even want to imagine the consequences.

Auszug aus einem Interview mit Hugh Laurie:„Well, the other day, Omar, Jesse, Jennifer and I were in the same camera frame, and we realized it was the first time in three years that’s happened. […] Having everyone back together, particularly with these actors, definitely has its rewards. For instance, we just filmed a scene where Chase is in over his head about something, and I watched Jesse, thinking this is something he does fantastically well. There’s something about the way Jesse plays him, the way he implies that Chase has a fairly unapologetic need to look out for himself, that is absolutely compelling to watch. And when it goes wrong–and something’s about to go very wrong for Chase–you can tell how much it matters to him. That’s lovely to watch, as are all the other members of House’s team.“
