After House’s detox and the Huddy sex turned out to be his fantasies, what was real in the episode? The Chase/Cameron wedding? The conversations with Wilson?
There has been some speculation about this, but we weren’t trying to pull any fast ones on the viewers. Every scene that House wasn’t in was real. But even the stuff that House was in was real—it was just his perception of the lipstick/pills that was distorted. And there was no detox or sex.
Will House really get sober this time?
He’s certainly going to purse that. We want to treat this seriously and we want to go down that road.
Why did he enter a psychiatric institution rather than rehab?
The problems are deeper than just the drugs, which are obviously an essential element of it. The fact is he used plenty of Vicodin before, but until Kutner’s death, on top of Amber’s death, he was somehow able to cope with it. He knows he needs to be locked up somewhere or it’s just not going to work. He realizes he has a problem and he has to do something about it. How that will manifest itself is what next season is all about.
What’s the future for a Cuddy/House romantic relationship?
Initally, there are bigger issues on the table, but it would be dishonest to just let that disappear. Obviously House has feelings for her. Even though the love affair didn’t happen, in House’s mind it did.
Will House be back at work when the season begins?
No. We want to deal with this in as realistic way as possible. We are going to be with House, but it’s not going to be at Princeton-Plainsboro. We want to take it through the process that House is going through.
How will House’s group at work function without his presence?
It’s always nice to pull the central cog out of something and see what happens. How Foreman and Thirteen react; how Cameron and Chase react. Those are all the things that will make this fun.

Ladies and gentleman, I give you the first official House scoop of the new season: Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda has been cast as House’s psych hospital roomie, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Miranda, best known for writing and starring in the Broadway musical In The Heights, will appear in at least two episodes beginning with the show’s sixth season premiere this fall.
A House insider tells me producers are looking for other „interesting actors“ to populate the psychiatric facility that became House’s home in last month’s finale. So if you’re an actor who excels at riding the crazy train, forward this story to your agent ASAP.

A. There are no actual plans for a crossover though we nave notions and ideas. Perhaps this is the year when “House” and “Bones” could find a crossover opportunity. Both Stephen and I are big pals of David Shore and Katie Jacobs (exec producers on “House”) and one of us is a fervent admirer. Also, we’re paired up with “Fringe” so that could possibly turn out to be a natural. Also, everyone on “Bones” now suffers deep and inappropriate crushes on Seth McFarlane.

MATT: How Vanilla Sky! But nope, sources assure me that House’s rehab stint is the real deal. And that hospital’s more retro than you think. Greystone Park State Hospital (in Morristown, N.J.) made its debut in 1876 as the not-so-subtly named New Jersey State Lunatic Asylum. The hospital has tended to such patients as singer-songwriter Woody Guthrie, and until the Pentagon was built, it boasted the largest foundation (674,00 sq. feet) of any structure in the U.S.. Ausiello: Answer me this: How are you on the drums? Producers are currently on the prowl for an older actor who „stomps to his own beat“ and is a „real percussionist“ to play one of House’s fellow patients. They’re also looking for a young actress who can play the cello if that’s a better fit for you. Also, given your history, you may have to audition via closed circuit camera from the McDonald’s across the street from the studio. It’s nothing personal. It’s just a safeguard in case you lunge at Katie Jacobs with a hammer. BTW, all of these casting calls have me thinking House is going to form his own loony bin pit band. Hugh Laurie has already established that he can sing as well as play the piano, guitar, harmonica and saxophone. Call me crazy, but I think I’m on to something here.

We needed to go on an adventure, and this is it.“

Zu Staffel 6:Ray asks why the season premiere will pick up shortly after the finale wrapped instead of the usual three month or so gap. „We don’t want to shake things up for the sake of shaking things up,“ David says. „We just want to keep exploring this character… we’re just seeing where his life progresses and where it goes. And the end of last year obviously we did something that felt natural and real to me but is very extreme and we want to be as true to that as we can and follow up on that. So we are doing, Katie’s going to be directing a two-hour season premiere, which is basically a movie which basically follows House through that institution. And it takes place over a much longer period of time than we’re used to. And [it’s about] his life in there, his search for getting better.“
David Shore on „Huddy“[…] Indeed, Shore said he’s „absolutely open“ to the possibility of Huddy having actual sex this season. „That’s not to say it will happen or won’t,“ he hedged. „We are just starting to work on next season and it is not all decided. But clearly he wants it to happen — at least subconsciously. And I think we know that Cuddy likes him, too.“

Laurie says he’s excited to work with Braugher. „I have admired him as one of the greatest actors there is,“ says Laurie. The premiere will be directed by executive producer Katie Jacobs, who will shoot exterior footage at the same institution in New Jersey that was seen in last season’s closing moments. „Over the summer, we built on our stages the institution’s interior,“ says Jacobs. „There is a day room where nurses can keep an eye on their patients.“
Jacobs previously worked with Braugher on the show Gideon’s Crossing. „He played Dr. Gideon, so in thinking about who was going to diagnose the greatest diagnostician there is, I thought who would be better than someone with the authority, gravitas and great

Marika: Will Thirteen and Taub be leaving at the end of this season? They will have completed their three-year fellowships by then. Will Chase and Cameron come back, or will there be new fellows?
House executive producer David Shore says it’s too early in the season to know if they’re going to be introducing new characters. He says, „We don’t have any plans on that. As we get closer to the end of the year we might, but I don’t think we’ve mined everything we can with the six fellows we’ve had there.“

As the cast teased last week, a lot of this season has to do with House (Hugh Laurie) working his way back to sanity and realizing his feelings for Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein). To answer your question specifically, David Shore says, „I think she does know. Actually, we had some discussion about it. I think him standing on the balcony, screaming out ‚I slept with Lisa Cuddy!‘ [gave it away].“
Sandra in Germany: I’d like to know if we’ll see more of Cuddy as a mom in the future on House. I like the idea of her being a working mom; she could be such a good role model for women if they’d convey this storyline properly.
We asked Lisa Edelstein if she wants to see that as well, but she’s more interested in the Huddy relationship than keeping up with Cuddy’s baby. Lisa tells us, „I’m eager to see what they do with the House and Cuddy storyline. The baby is fine, but I don’t think it’s really about that. I’m sure it will be woven through, but it grounds her to have a child. I think it gives her more of a life than she had. But ultimately it’s not about that, the show is not about that. The show is about the hospital and the inner relationships at the hospital.“

He may stop hallucinating but he’d never stop being sarcastic.“ Adds series creator David Shore: „It depends on how we define better. That is the question. How sick is he? Does House want to get better? Can he get better? And how much better? And how much will the team be told and how will the dynamic shift with House away? Those are the questions we are going to deal with in the first bunch of episodes, and perhaps even the whole season to a certain extent.“

Fox’s „House“ had lined up James Earl Jones as a guest star. He plays an African dictator who becomes a patient at Princeton-Plainsboro. The installment will air in the fall. The series starts its new season Sept. 21 with a two-hour episode.
Fox isn’t saying a lot more. But imagine Jones and Hugh Laurie getting into arguments. The show could be a scorcher.

Discussing what impact last season’s imaginary hook-up will have on House and Cuddy’s relationship this fall, the exec said, “We’re stepping back from it a little bit. We’re not ignoring it. We have to carry forward… It’s going to go someplace eventually. But the beginning of this season is primarily focused on House trying to find some semblance of sanity, and not completely succeeding.”
For the rest of my candid on-camera Q&A with Shore, including his surprising thoughts on the Huddy sex backlash as well as his plans for Cameron and Chase this season, proceed to the video after the jump.

Auf den Seiten gibt es auch noch ein Interviewvideo dazu.In dem Video erzählt David Shore noch etwas mehr über House und Cuddy, die Ereignisse am Ende der fünften Staffel und daß House 2 oder 3 Monate in der Psychiatrie verbringen wird.
Außerdem sagt David Shore, daß Chase und Cameron, zumindest vorübergehend, etwas mehr in das Diagnostikteam integriert werden sollen, da House seine Arztlizenz verloren hat.
Foreman wird, zu Beginn der Staffel, tatsächlich das Diagnostikteam leiten.

Posted by DarkUFO at Friday, August 07, 2009Brace yourselves, Huddy fans: House creator David Shore dropped a mini bombshell about your favorite couple at Fox’s press tour party last night.
Discussing what impact last season’s imaginary hook-up will have on House and Cuddy’s relationship this fall, the exec said, “We’re stepping back from it a little bit. We’re not ignoring it. We have to carry forward… It’s going to go someplace eventually. But the beginning of this season is primarily focused on House trying to find some semblance of sanity, and not completely succeeding.”

Auf den Seiten gibt es auch noch ein Interviewvideo dazu.In dem Video erzählt David Shore noch etwas mehr über House und Cuddy, die Ereignisse am Ende der fünften Staffel und daß House 2 oder 3 Monate in der Psychiatrie verbringen wird.
Außerdem sagt David Shore, daß Chase und Cameron, zumindest vorübergehend, etwas mehr in das Diagnostikteam integriert werden sollen, da House seine Arztlizenz verloren hat.
Foreman wird, zu Beginn der Staffel, tatsächlich das Diagnostikteam leiten.

Speculation had it for long that House and Cuddy – a couple known as Huddy to fans – would finally get their chance to live out their romance but it seems the series creator is bent on postponing that for as long as possible. If and when the two will get to be together is not yet certain, but what is known so far is that it will most surely not happen in season 6, which is to hit television screens this September.
