Ausiello: No, but I did get Jesse Spencer’s thoughts on Lisa Edelstein’s departure. He admits he has “mixed” feelings about the loss of his longtime costar. “She’s been there since the pilot, she’s a big part of the show,” he sighs. “When I first found out I was like, ‘Oh, no. We’ve lost another castmember. That’s really difficult.’ I love Lisa and I think she’s been such a big, big part of our show. And it’s hard to lose someone like that. Celebs Surf Malibu for Surfrider Foundation Fundraiser
If you’re not taking advantage of the refreshing Pacific today, you definitely should this Saturday, September 10. The Surfrider Foundation brings the sixth installment of its Celebrity Expression Session to the shores of First Point, Surfrider Beach in Malibu.
Celebrity supporters will shred waves to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation. Among Saturday’s surfers are Jesse Spencer of „House,“ Eric Balfour of „Haven,“ Sam Trammell of „True Blood,“ John Slattery of „Mad Men“ and Martyn Lenoble of Porno for Pyros.
Surfrider’s campaigns foster clean water, open beach access, coastal preservation and special place protection. By hanging-ten for a sandy audience from 12pm to 1pm, famous faces will help protect our beaches.

EXCLUSIVE: House co-star Jesse Spencer is looking to stay in primetime as the lead of another drama series. Spencer, who has played Dr. Robert Chase on the Fox medical drama House for the past 8 seasons, is set to star in the NBC drama pilot Chicago Fire. On Wolf Films and Universal TV’s action-driven drama about the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department, Spencer will play the lead, Matthew Casey, a firefighter at Firehouse 55, a natural leader who is in his element when on a rescue or putting out a fire but in his personal life, he is grappling with a recent separation from his wife. Also cast in the pilot is Charlie Barnett as Peter Mills, a young candidate firefighter fresh from the Academy. The deal keeps Spencer in the NBCUniversal family — Universal TV, which produces Chicago Fire, is also the studio behind House. Michael Brandt and Derek Haas wrote Chicago Fire, which is being directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff. Dick Wolf, Brandt, Haas, Peter Jankowski and Danielle Gelber executive produce. Aussie Spencer, repped by WME and the Fleming Agency in Australia, is the first cast member of House, which is ending its eight-year run in May, to book a new series regular gig. Peter Jacobson recently signed on for a recurring role on the Showtime pilot Ray Donovan.

Hoert sich irgendwie total seltsam an… werde die Serie auf jeden Fall gucken, muss mich allerdings erst mal dran gewoehnen, dass Jesse so „seltsam“ redet in der Rolle xD

“Chicago Fire” actor Jesse Spencer had to use his rescue skills in real life Sunday when he and a group of tourists got stuck in an elevator for an hour in the Illinois State Capitol.
Spencer was sightseeing in Springfield with his parents, who are visiting from his native Australia. They were about to begin a tour of the 19th century building and were the last ones to file into the Capitol’s elevator. The crowded elevator soon came to an abrupt stop, trapping everyone inside.
“People started to freak out,” said Spencer, who plays Lt. Matt Casey on the Chicago-filmed NBC drama. “It was packed. There were, like, 30 people in there. It was getting so hot. It’s claustrophobic. One poor girl had a fear of being trapped in elevators.”
